Navigating The Map
When you left click on the map and hold the left mouse button down, you can drag the mouse and move the entire map.
To see the information associated with an individual track: Place your cursor over a track balloon and click on it. A pop-up window will show the date, time, speed, and location of that track.
Turn the map Refresh OFF, to navigate the map without being interrupted by new tracking information.
Turn it ON again to see the most current tracks.
- Report interval: These balloons are generated while the vehicle is driving at the report interval for your service plan. Click on balloon for speed, time, and address.
- Alert: These balloons are generated whenever an alert is generated. Click on balloon for alert details.
- Heartbeat: These balloons are generated ever 24 hours, letting you know the device is still connected and functioning.
- Posted Speed Limit Alert (Beta): This balloon is generated specifically for the Posted Speed Limit Alert, whenever the alert is tripped. Click on balloon for alert details.
The calendar should be open already when you open your map. If it is not, open it by clicking the calendar icon:
Selecting "Current" shows only the latest track on your map reported by the device - NOTE current is the default setting when map is first opened.
Selecting "All Day" shows every reported track for the current calendar day (12:00am - 11:59pm)
Will always default to the latest track when Map is first opened (mm/dd/yyyy - time of latest track).
Historical data can be selected for any day by clicking on the desired date on the calendar.
Specific times can be selected via two drop down menus below the date. Click "Search" to show only tracks logged between the times selected.
Fuel Level & Battery Voltage
The vehicle fuel level and vehicle battery voltage can be seen by looking at the icon bar at the top-right of the Map:
Each full bar on the fuel scale represents 10%. The above picture would indicate a 30% full tank.
If the display instead shows Low Fuel, this indicates that the fuel level is 19% or less:
This feature is currently available on the Essentials and Premium service plan. It is not available on the Basic Plan. If you are on the Basic plan, it will display the following:
Please note that this feature is only available for our newest generation of MT-OBD II devices. The MT-121 Hardwire device will have the vehicle battery voltage, however it will not show fuel levels. Some older devices may need to be reprogrammed in order to receive this feature, however many older devices do not have the capability of using this feature. Devices that cannot use this feature will display an empty fuel bar at all times:
The devices table should already be open when you open your map. If it is not, open it by clicking the devices icon:
Once open it will look like this:
View All Devices: Click here to view all devices on the map simultaneously.
Click on specific device names to view only that device on the map.
Place mouse over streetview icon: you will see icon move slightly:
Hold down left mouse, and drag streetview icon to get the street view of any street that turns blue.
To exit street view, click the "<--" on the top right corner of the screen.
THIS IS NOT AVAILABLE IN ALL AREAS
Street View also allows you to navigate within the Street View window so that you can see a 360 degree area around the point.
You can navigate around Street view by dragging your cursor around the Street View window or by clicking on the multi-directional arrows.
You may also zoom in and out by clicking on the plus + and minus - signs on the bottom-right side of the window.
Device Tool Bar
This bar is located usually in the upper right corner of the screen and contains the device serial number and icons for the Auto Refresh ON/OFF, OnDemand Locate, GeoFence, Settings Menus, Traffic View, and Help Menu
Auto Refresh ON/OFF
This icon toggles the automatic refresh feature. With this setting on: every time the device updates with new tracking information, the map will refresh with the latest tracks. Toggled off: the map will remain as it currently is.
This icon: uses one of the OnDemand Locates, aka Polls, available with your service plan to update the device's current location, even if it is between reporting intervals or the vehicle is turned off.
If the response to the Poll is not timely, the system will notify you with the message "No Response, Rechecking"
If the response fails due to the device being: powered off (MT-101), lacking power, or lacking a cellular connection, the system will notify you with the message "Unable to Locate Your Device"
If you see this message, check to see if the device is powered:
- MT - 101: On/off switchMT 101
- MT-OBDII & MT-121/131: GREEN GPS light.
If the device is powered on and a cellular connection is available but there is no GPS signal available, the system will notify you with a message indicating that it has no GPS reception. If the device is powered on and a cellular connection is available but there is no GPS signal available, the system will notify you with a message indicating that it has no GPS reception.
Check if cellular connection is available:
- MT-101: A good cell signal is indicated by a RED ligh flashing every 3-5 seconds. A quick flashing RED light means no connection is available. Move tracker to a better location.
- MT-OBDII & MT-101: A good cell signal is indicated by the blue LED blinking once every three seconds. Searching for signal is indicated by blue LED blinking once every second.
If you are unable to physically check the tracker:
- Check the battery icon, for MT-101 trackers only, for the status of the battery on your map toolbar. You should note the date and time of the last report; if the report is not recent the battery status may have changed. A more current report is indicative that the battery level shown is accurate.
- If no cellular connection is available you may need to wait for the tracker to move to an area where it can attain cellular reception.
- Remember that your tracker is capable of storing its location when a GPS signal is available but cellular signal is not. So it is possible for the tracker to report all the missing information once it attains a cellular connection.
This Icon: opens the GeoFence menu where you can manage existing GeoFences or create new ones (see this page for details on using GeoFences).
This icon: opens a menu which displays three sub-menus:
- Device Settings: This menu allows you to give individual devices unique names, icons, and select your time zone.
- Emails & Phones: This menu allows you to add email addresses and cell phone numbers that can receive alerts from your device when those alerts are generated (these need to be added to the specific alerts in the Manage Alerts Menu).
- Manage Alerts: This menu allows you to add and customize a variety of alerts including Speed, Harsh Breaking, Tow, etc. and select the number(s) and email(s) to associate with those alerts.
This icon: toggles on an overlay of traffic information from Google Traffic View.
This icon: opens a window with a legend of map icons and instructions for how to navigate the map.
Battery Status MT-101 ONLY
Battery status can be viewed on each device by opening a device map and looking directly above the toolbar, you will see battery icons showing the status of each battery.
